Are there any MLC stories that end with a happy marriage?

Bummin's picture

Is there anyone with a happy ending???? I still haven't heard of one happy marriage that survived a wife, or husband for that matter, who went through an MLC.

Please let me know if any of you are out there...

I think my wife is having a mid-life crisis

man of action's picture

I found out six weeks ago that her feelings have changed and she's not sure about us. Apparently she shut down because she tired of my overreactions to minor situations and now feels empty. I have been diagnosed with anxiety disorder and do overreact on occasion, although she admits that it's always over and forgotten after a couple minutes. »more»

Will faith really get me through this... midlife crisis, divorce, economic downturn, depression...?

Wesley's picture

The middle age years can be a challenging time for many. Marital issues, job problems, midlife crises, elder care, empty next, health concerns and many more are all possible. Some find themselves turning to religion more than ever before and this is evidenced by the frequency of such phrases as "turning to faith" in the LifeTwo discussion forums. »more»

I Was a Good Wife All Week. Why Do I Feel Sad Monday Morning?

Lisa's picture

I've decided to try for a healthier marriage rather than an affair or walking away, to ease the pain I feel over how my life has turned out. Why? Because of the potential rewards to be found in working out problems instead of tossing them out the door. I think there must be a baby in that basin of dirty bathwater. After all, who else would know you and work with you when you're old? »more»

Could my husband be going through an early mid-life crisis at age 28?

camille's picture

Hi. My husband is 28 and I am 22. We have been married for three years this coming April. It has been really hard for us ever since we got married but we have made it through. A few months ago, he broke down and said he just felt kinda depressed and like he hasn't done anything with his life. He also said he doesn't feel like he can do anything, I guess as far as hobbies and stuff. »more»

Adult Children Anyone?

Terese's picture

I have raised my two sons on my own for over 10 years. They are both now young adults (23 and 19) and still live at home. Both are working and one also attends the local community college. In recent years, friends have commented on the fact that my sons still live with me. I have been feeling "guilty" that perhaps I am not doing enough to get them out and on their own. »more»

Music Tastes Change

Lisa's picture

Going through my midlife crisis, one of the things that's changed for me is music. I had to dump a lot of old things from my Ipod list because they were getting me down. Example: Elton John music. I loved his classic playlist all my life. I loved "Don't let the Sun Go Down On Me" so much, I'd sing it in the grocery store. Now? »more»

Have I Wasted Twenty Years as a Homemaker?

Lisa's picture

Other women who've been working since they were twenty will now have retirement income. Not me. I stayed home. I got the joy of watching every step of my children's infancy and childhood. Now I'm stuck with just me.

As I make my way out into the sunshine, I sure would love to hear what other people have to say about being "just a homemaker" and what happens next.

My Spouse is Cheating; Infidelity stories and advice

Anonymous's picture

My husband of 5 years who is only 32 has been cheating with various women for our entire marriage. He has mistreated me for several years hoping that I would just get tired of it and leave him. I love him dearly and we together have a 4 year old son. We have also accepted responsibility of his soon to be 6 year old niece and I have an 11 year old son from my 1st marriage. »more»

What song best represents how you are feeling?

Wesley's picture

Music can be very powerful and can evoke memories and emotions. What song(s) best capture how you are feeling and why? (Perhaps at some point we'll put together a iTunes playlist for us all to listen to).
