before I die
Submitted by Greg on April 2, 2007 - 5:17pm.
Two Denver newlyweds visited thirteen countries and about 100 of the sites from Patricia Schultz's bestseller "1,000 Places to See Before You Die" in the new Travel Channel series of the same name. Their fourteen week tour hit Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Italy, France, South Africa, Nepal, India, Cambodia, and Australia. »more»

Thirty-two years ago, at age 53, executive Bill Bell heard the 14 words that changed his life: "I want you to jog 40 minutes a day for three days a week."
He did and he has never looked back. 40 minute jogs soon led to doing marathons. »more»

Jeanne Stawiecki, who we interviewed earlier this year, sets out next week on her third attempt to climb Mt. Everest. If successful, she'll become the first woman to summit the highest mountains and run marathons on all seven continents.
That would be a feat at any age. Jeanne is 56. »more»

Yes you should have a list of things that you want to do before you die. If you are like most people then travel will be a big part of your list. From time to time we list resources (websites and books) that might help generate ideas for your list. »more»

LifeTwo encourages its readers to challenge themselves by setting goals that require dedication and self-improvement. No one has set harder goals or improved themselves more than Jeanne Stawiecki who entered middle age a smoking, non-exerciser and then set the goal to run a marathon and climb the tallest mountain on every continent. She is now just one mountain (granted it's Mount Everest we are talking about) away from achieving her goal. Here's an idea for your "To Do Before I Die List," pick foods or types of food that you've never eaten and put the ones that sound interesting on your list. For example, until a few years ago I had never eaten Polish food in a Polish restaurant. One day wanted to try something new and a favorite type of food was discovered. »more»

A Happiness Tip from LifeTwo: Digitize Your Photos the Easy Way
If you are a typical middle age adult you have hundreds if not more photos in shoe boxes, drawers, and photo books. These are largely sitting idly because the accessibility to them is limited, particularly when compared to the more recent digital photos you may have taken and that are on your computer. »more»

We've written about my "100 things to do before I die list" and the benefits of having a "life list" (aka a written list of things you want to do before you die) (truth be told I couldn't make it to 100 and peaked in the 40's though I continue to add to it). We've also reviewed books on the subject and will be focusing on how to make the list in the future but for now I have a simple list of about 40 or so things I want to do someday written out on an Excel spreadsheet. »more»
