Midlife Crisis, mid-life crisis

What the heck is the Dorothy Syndrome and what does it have to do with mid-life crisis? Well, it has everything to do with MLC! The Dorothy Syndrome is a phrase that I coined and is the premise for my upcoming book titled "The Dorothy Syndrome: Mid-life on the Yellow Brick Road". While coaching at another web site forum, I started using the metaphors used in one of my favorite stories and movies..."The Wizard of OZ". I was astonished at how easily I could use the dialog from the movie or premise of the story to describe the transitions, emotions, the typical experiences that occur during an MLC, whether it be for the woman or the man. »more»

Is there anyone with a happy ending???? I still haven't heard of one happy marriage that survived a wife, or husband for that matter, who went through an MLC.

I just wanted to see how many SUCCESS STORIES on moving on are there..
How many of you are remarried and happy, in a good relationship with someone, or just feel that being single is the best thing for you.
Too many sad MidlifeCrisis stories here – so I just would like to see some happy MOVED ON victims of MLC in there past relationship. »more»

What happens when someone turns 40? Pop culture would have you believe that it's a magic age of sudden insight, existential questioning, or decisions to make major changes.
Those don't often happen in real life, and they don't happen in TV Land's "The Big 4-0" either. »more»

Hi. My husband is 28 and I am 22. We have been married for three years this coming April. It has been really hard for us ever since we got married but we have made it through. A few months ago, he broke down and said he just felt kinda depressed and like he hasn't done anything with his life. He also said he doesn't feel like he can do anything, I guess as far as hobbies and stuff. »more»
