I have a scenario that sounds like many that I've read about on here. I think I'm hoping that somehow mine will be different. »more»

Recently, I was asked by a man who's wife had left him and his children due to her Mid-Life Crisis: When does the MLC begin and if redirected attention toward the children was an indication that a woman was soon going to click her heels and return home? Here was my answer....it may be of interest to some who have the same question. »more»

The middle age years can be a challenging time for many. Marital issues, job problems, midlife crises, elder care, empty next, health concerns and many more are all possible. Some find themselves turning to religion more than ever before and this is evidenced by the frequency of such phrases as "turning to faith" in the LifeTwo discussion forums. »more»

Other women who've been working since they were twenty will now have retirement income. Not me. I stayed home. I got the joy of watching every step of my children's infancy and childhood. Now I'm stuck with just me.
As I make my way out into the sunshine, I sure would love to hear what other people have to say about being "just a homemaker" and what happens next.

Music can be very powerful and can evoke memories and emotions. What song(s) best capture how you are feeling and why? (Perhaps at some point we'll put together a iTunes playlist for us all to listen to).

Is she going through mid-life or what?
Back in Oct./ 07 my wife suddenly decided that going to her parents home in TX for a while is what she needed to sort her feelings out about continuing this marriage. We live in MS so that is a long ways away. She felt that she just didn't get enough "me time" and that I was around far too much. »more»

Hello Life Two,
I'm a 34 year old woman (or is it over-grown college girl?) in the depths of a what I now know to be a midlife crisis. Over the past 2 years, I divorced my husband because "I wasn't in love with him," changed jobs 3 times, went back to college briefly, moved to a new city and divorced my mother whom I belive to be the root cause of all of this chaos in the first place. I've read most of the information on this site, however it really is aimed at a different generation than me, so I am having difficulty relating. Can anyone point me to helpful 30-something resources, besides the book, "Midlife Crisis at 30?" Any info is greatly appreciated. »more»

Was there a “trigger” (job change, divorce, etc.) that got you thinking about the next phase of your life and how you plan to live it?
