What the heck is the Dorothy Syndrome and what does it have to do with mid-life crisis? Well, it has everything to do with MLC! The Dorothy Syndrome is a phrase that I coined and is the premise for my upcoming book titled "The Dorothy Syndrome: Mid-life on the Yellow Brick Road". While coaching at another web site forum, I started using the metaphors used in one of my favorite stories and movies..."The Wizard of OZ". I found this free ebook on the Law of Attraction. It seems pretty good to me. It's a good mixture of theoretical and practical. It does have some good suggestions about how to put the Law of Attraction to use. Worth a read.

Somewhere along the way, we got the idea that to do meaningful work - work that makes a difference means we have to sacrifice personal wealth, profit and success. We associate work that makes a difference with the terms "non-profit", volunteerism and personal sacrifice. It creates a kind of starving artist mentality.
