Review: "Beyond Knowing: Mysteries & Messages of Death & Life from a Forensic Pathologist"

Wesley's picture

Faced in her work as a medical examiner with mysteries that she could not otherwise solve or explain, Dr. Janis Amatuzio does not believe the journey of life ends with death. While this belief is certainly not unique, it is certainly uncommon to hear it from a a respected MD trained in the hard science of forensic pathology.

This book is not for everyone and such a heavy topic is not likely going to be settled by any book. But for those who share Dr. Amatuzio's Devine beliefs, they will likely find the book to be hopeful and meaningful.

I hope there's always a Now

Sometimes when that sneaky little fear comes back, called "I wasted the best times of my life," I try to remind myself that I think there's always a kind of now, that will be here for me as long as I'm me in my soul, that will always offer me choices of something to think about and some attitude to explore.

I'll have to go pick up this book because it isn't written by a psychic. I've read what the psychics say and I have to take what they say on faith because I think their material is speculative even though they speak with an authoritative tone.
