Sad, isn't it?
Yep, you are right. My latest beau of 5 months, including his repeatedly telling me "You're the One for me," "I see us together for decades," and "You are all I'm looking for and more," broke up with me 2 weeks ago via text. It's sad when a 56-year-old man, father of 3, has so little tact, caring, class or maturity. I didn't see it coming, and was devastated he could be so disrespectful.
Luckily, most of the men I've gone out with in the last 4 years have more compassion and class.
