The Wall Street Journal's Second Acts column provides daydream material for anyone thinking of switching careers when it's "too late."

The most recent features Cliff Atkinson, who founded a company that teaches people to use PowerPoint as a force for good ... or at least as a force for actual communication. That was after he spent six years in the Air Force, studied to become a minister, and was a marketing manager during dot-com 1.0.
