Author Margaret Richard says "Strong, Toned and Sexy in Just 3 Hours a Week" in "Body Electric"

"Body Electric" is a companion book to the long-running PBS show of the same name and contains every buzzword that one could want in a fitness program including "convenient, affordable, effective, and enjoyable." Margaret Richard's resistance exercises can all be done at home and are aimed at countering age-related afflictions such as osteoporosis, stiff joints and of course weight gain. There are a number of things to like about "Body Electric", among them are its easy-to-read nature and explanatory pictures for each exercise.

The book and its regimen are a good accompaniment to a walking routine or other forms of fitness. It's a terrific first step for those who haven't worked out in many years and are unsure how to start or are worried about injuring themselves by rushing back into it. However those who have remained relatively active might find it a bit too tame. If you are in the former group then this book is one of the best that I've seen. If you are in the later then there are probably other choices more appropriate for your level of current activity.
