On the Horizon..."Queen of the Road"

Wesley's picture

Next month will see the release of "Queen of the Road" by Doreen Orion. You will be reading a lot about this book on LifeTwo including a review, an interview with Doreen and perhaps even a giveaway or two. This focus is because we think that "Queen of the Road" is the perfect book to kick off the summer and possibly inspire you to embark on your own road trip of self-exploration.

From the book's jacket:

A pampered Long Island princess hits the road in a converted bus with her wilderness-loving husband, travels the country for one year, and brings it all hilariously to life in this offbeat and romantic memoir.

Phrased another way:

If you were to force Nora Ephron into an RV traveling across the United States, you might end up with a story like "Queen of the Road."

Doreen is not your typical RV vagabond. She is a triple-boarded psychiatrist on the faculty of The University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. She is also the author of "I Know You Really Love Me," a book that established her as a national expert on stalking with related appearances on Larry King Live, 48 Hours, and Good Morning America, to name a few.

Stay tuned for our review (I've just gotten to the part where her and her psychiatrist husband have entered Death Valley, CA). And if you find yourself motivated to do something as offbeat, exhilarating and funny to read as Doreen then make sure to let us know as we might be writing about you this time next year.
