Travel IQ Challenge: A fun and addictive way to see exactly how worldly you are

Wesley's picture

On the whole, most Baby Boomers consider themselves rather worldly. Having read newspapers for 20-40 years, watched the nightly news, and traveled extensively for business and pleasure, we probably think that we could find most major countries/capitals on a map, but is this true? Fortunately someone has written and published a free online game that takes minutes to play but is somewhat hard to stop playing.

The general premise is that you are presented with a world map and then a succession of cities or significant landmarks and you then click your mouse where you think it is. Your score is the result of the speed and accuracy of your selections. It is simple and fun.

The quiz is also a good brain exercise as it combines quick thinking and memory.

Give it a go and let us know how you do. I have to admit that I was foiled my Micronesia. I knew that it was in the general area of Polynesia but was surprised how easy it was to be off by 1,500 miles. I also had trouble with many of the African countries.
