Blogging Boomers Carnival #44 is here at LifeTwo

Wesley's picture

BloggingBoomers is a collection of ten blogs (listed below) that write about issues relating to midlife--from the pop culture of baby boomers to more serious issues of health, finance, relationships and everything in-between. Below are the featured stories of the week for each blog with links in the summaries to each blog. Please check them out.

Boomer Chronicles:

Explain to me, please, how can a TV show featuring a bunch of baby boomers doing ballroom dancing be so darned popular?

GenPlus:

You can never do too much http://genplus.blogspot.com/2007/10/gen-plus-town-hall-forum.html">networking. Head over to Gen Plus to find out about a new type of career forum happening in Los Angeles.

Your Drum:

By changing five foods in your diet, the overall percentage of your organic food intake will increase dramatically.

Contemporary Retirement:

What do airplane toilets, a load of wet laundry and the bottom of women's handbags have in common?

Boomers Making a Difference:

In the new book Microtrends, Mark J. Penn explores 75 new trends emerging in human behavior. One of those trends is the emergence of the Real Cougar woman. She is starting to rock the world, just like I knew she would. But what's next? I believe the next big thing will be the transformation of the Boomer Man. What will it take for this former King of the Jungle to get back his roar?

Wastrel Show:

There's a lot of heated debate going on between the Baby Boomers and Gen X. Thanks to Money Mag's Walter Updegrave's article, those Gen X fears can be put to rest.

I Remember JFK:

Miami, Oklahoma was definitive Small Town America. Population about 10,000, the only traffic lights were on main Street, everybody in town knew who you were. Yet we were treated to http://www.irememberjfk.com/mt/2007/10/the_circus_comes_to_town.php">circuses that would pass through town every year, as far as I can recall. They were HUGE, at least in a child's memory, because they had three rings, just like Barnum and Bailey!

Fabulous after 40:

If your tired boomer eyes could use a little beautifying, then hop on over to Fabulous after 40. The Glam Gals recently caught up with one of Bobbi Brown’s top make-up artists and have some exciting tips for the right way to use concealer.

So Baby Boomer:

http://coachingtip.blogs.com/so_baby_boomer/2007/10/no-more-frog-da.html ">Forget the Lengthy Frog Kissing Process! Premium online dating sites, like eHarmony.com and Chemistry.com (a Match.com venture) that make the matches for you, are a faster and better way to find your fairy-tale soul mate.

LifeTwo:

Yes, we get to feature a story as well. If you haven't already done so, please read "What Are The Odds That Your Marriage Will Last?" and visit the new LifeTwo store.

Come back next week and we will point you to the next host of the carnival.

My blog , also deals with boomer issues. Dear Baby Boomer....

..you will not gain insight into retirement or the high cost of health care. But you just might find yourself in one of my recent musings.

Let's go back there..just for a little while!
