Nintendo's Wii Fit might be what you and your family needs

Wesley's picture

What Brain Age has done for mental stimulation, Nintendo hopes the Wii Fit will do for overall health.

When released the Wii Fit will be based on a pressure-sensitive Wii Balance Board, which will be used for activities such as aerobics, yoga, muscle stretches and other movement games. Nintendo says that many of these activities focus towards providing a "core" workout, a popular exercise method that emphasizes slower, controlled motions.

The Nintendo Wii has been a hit with consumers--particularly with casual gamers, kids, and surprisingly even with seniors. Wii Fit will be an extension to the Wii system and is due to arrive in the U.S. and Europe sometime in early 2008 and is expected to cost around $75.00.

Wii Fit..

That seems really cool!!! I can see our family now...fighting to get on it. We'll have to bust out our wallets...let's see $75.00 x 6 people....hmmmm. I know you prob. can't hook up 6 different units, but maybe 2???

Thanks for sharing. I didn't even know about that. Great Concept.

Wii

The Wii is very popular in our household and has been great for getting both adults and kids to play each other. I think the Fit looks good enough to try out. Anything that keeps people active...
