Does the Mediterranean diet cause diseases ?
Submitted by foren83 on September 23, 2007 - 7:41am.
It’s not difficult to find people that ask questions like: * What are the drawbacks for doing the Mediterranean diet? * Does the Mediterranean diet cause diseases? * What are the Mediterranean diet dangers? I did a little research in forums, social media, newspapers and medical magazines and I didn’t find anything that confirm that the Mediterranean diet has bad consequences on health. I’ve found instead a list of resources that confirm the health benefits of this diet…here the some ones: http://www.mediterraneanbook.com/2007/09/18/mediterranean-diet-consequen... The Mediterranean Diet
I have been researching the Mediterranean diet for years and have found nothing that indicates it is anything but healthy!
I have become an expert on dieting ever since the age of 13 when I carried my Metracal and half a grapefruit to school. And all I can say is "diets don't work"!
After battling weight gain in my 40s with constant dieting such as Atkins and low carb diets, I switched to the Mediterranean diet. I started eating everything I loved: pizza, pasta and whole grain breads. I started doing simple exercises at home (no gyms or hours exercising) and lost weight quickly and easily. I feel younger, I look younger and --best of all--I can indulge in food and wine without fear or guilt!
