Midlife Dating Alert! How to Spot a Dangerous Man Before You Get Involved

Wesley's picture

No secret what the book "How to Spot Dangerous Men Before You Get Involved" is about. By "dangerous" the author doesn't just mean violent. Men who inflict mental abuse can be just as poisonous. Sadly there are many violent and abusive men in the world including those that are mentally ill, addicted, emotionally unavailable or for unknown reasons just prey on women.

The author, Sandra L. Brown, shows readers the red flags of dangerous men, a process she calls "harm reduction for women." She has a good background for the topic having provided counseling for women victims and male perpetrators.

From the back cover:

Includes essential information on:

* the character and behavior of eight types of dangerous men
* why women make themselves vulnerable to dangerous men
* how to take an honest inventory of your own dating behaviors
* the eleven signs of a bad dating choice
* how to make your own "do-not-date" checklist
* how to develop a support system for safe dating
* how to get out of a relationship with a dangerous man

Middle age is difficult enough without having a partner that isn't safe. If you think you are at risk, and Brown thinks all dating women are, then this might be a useful guide. (It's certainly cheaper than a restraining order.)
