Three Best Tips for Midlife Living

Wesley's picture

I was recently interviewed by Life Bite’s Nina Boski for her Sirius radio program and was asked my three biggest tips for maximizing life in the middle age years. Here is my list:

    1. Health. This is the #1 factor for quality of life as you age. Middle age is the time that you especially need to eat responsibility and exercise. [More.]

    2. Personal relationships. Studies have shown that you will grow accustom to just about every good thing in your life (“hedonic adaptation”). One thing you won’t however is good personal relationships. Middle age is the time to salvage, improve and make new relationships. Also, sadly it is a time that you might lose some to death so fix them before it’s too late. [More.]

    3. To Do Before You Die. Make a list of all of the experiences you want to have in your life. After that figure out how you are going to accomplish them and start doing it. Middle age is a great time to do it since you still have a great deal of time life (though it may not feel like it all of the time). [More.]

While there are many, many other things that come to mind, these strike me as the most important.
