Study: Men lose more exercise time than women when couples have kids

Having kids does indeed reduce exercise time for adults. According to a new study by the University of Pittsburgh men take the brunt of the hit to exercise time but women lose it as well.
The study’s results can help prospective parents beware of the pitfalls and can attempt to work around them. My wife's gym has a baby sitting service so she is able to do both. I bought a double-baby jogger so that I could get my runs in while taking care of the kids. There is also the option of exercise equipment for the home (bike trainers, treadmills, etc.), jogging around the play field during soccer practice, and many others. The biggest problem seems to be when parents just become resigned to the belief that there is simply not enough time to exercise so they stop trying. Read Similar LifeTwo Stories:
