Looking for lipstick on the collar is so 1990's; Wife uses DNA tests

Wesley's picture

It may be much harder for cheating spouses to cover up their tracks as CSI techniques begin to be used to uncover straying spouses' amorous activities. A Michigan wife, who happens to be forensics scientist, tested DNA from her husband's underwear to determine if he had been cheating. She found DNA from a woman who was not her.

While the current state of the technology requires a lab and a trained technician, it portends a day when home DNA kits will be as familiar as home pregnancy kits (which also used to require labs and doctors). Instead of looking for lipstick on the collar, suspecting spouses will be testing the DNA.
