BloggingBoomers Carnival #28 is here at LifeTwo

Wesley's picture

BloggingBoomers is a collection (also called a "carnival") of like-minded bloggers who have contributed posts that are relevant to healthy aging and/or of general interest to baby boomers. For example, LifeTwo has contributed "Six Ways that Summer is Worse Than When You Were a Kid (check it out).

First contribution is from BloggingBoomers co-founder the Boomer Chronicles, currently one of the most popular baby boomer blogs on the net. They suggest you see Hairspray. This movie remake was made by, for and about baby boomers.

The irreverent but never irrelevant So Baby Boomer observes that boomers are discovering the unintended consequences of free love.

On a related note, Contemporary Retirement asks and answers "Will a plastic bag that you throw into your dustbin or trash can today really still be around in 2507?"

Next at GenPlus when (GenPlus founder) Wendy hears her neighbor spinning vinyl, she takes a Gen Plus look at what reinvention is for 50 plus.

And Your Drum asks "what to do after your dead when you still want to have some fun?" The answer is here in "If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans."

Lastly:

    What can I say
About the blog I Remember JFK?
    I never miss a post I confess
Because I've added them to my RSS.

Okay, Dr. Seuss I'm not, but IRememberJFK writes about the real one noting that "a wonderful tradition began in our childhoods, which was passed on to our children, and then our grandchildren. It was reading the books and savoring the included illustrations of one Theodor Seuss Geisel, aka Dr.
Seuss. What Baby Boomer out there doesn't have among their earliest childhood recollections reading about Sam I Am, Horton the elephant, the Grinch, and, of course, the Cat in the Hat?"

We asked the each of the BloggingBoomers what they have on their own "to do before I die" lists, read them at What Do You Have on Your 'To Do Before I Die' List"?.
