The Dating Goddess -- a management consultant, bestselling author and professional speaker by day -- takes a clear eyed, funny, and entertaining view of the midlife dating scene at her blog, DatingGoddess.com. It's one of our favorites.

In this interview -- the first of two parts -- she tells us how midlife dating is different from dating when we were twenty or thirty years younger, some ideas for improving the first date, and the things men do wrong at that first get-together.
