Carnival of Careers in Middle Age #4
Submitted by Wesley on June 3, 2007 - 8:49pm.
When reaching middle age, it's natural to question your career path. More specifically whether the career path you started on two decades ago is still the one for you today or is it time for a change? But changing careers midlife is a significant step and involves a multitude of risk factors. To help your exploration of this topic we have created the "Carnival of Careers in Middle Age." This post is an open "carnival" whereby bloggers have been given the opportunity to submit stories that are in some way related to career issues in middle age. We'll kick it off with our own contribution "How to Avoid Being Outsourced, Disintermediated or Made Obsolete; Top 7 Macroeconomic Trends to Know." This post was written for LifeTwo by futurist David Houle. We also suggest that all midlife job seekers consult our "Midlife Career Change FAQ", a resource-intensive post on all aspects of changing careers in middle age. The following posts were submitted by third party bloggers and we encourage you to check out their posts as well as poke around their blogs. Their appearance in this carnival means that they are out promoting their blogs and worthy of our support. Deb Serani presents No Whining Zone posted at Dr. Deb, saying, "This post looks at which countries have the greatest number of work complaints." zenofeller presents Scam-Guru.com, the last word in wasting your time and taking your money posted at zenofeller.com. Laura Young presents Mid-Life Crisis: It's Not Just for Men Anymore! posted at Dragon Slayer. Debra Moorhead presents How Fear Serves You posted at Debra Moorhead.com. edithyeung presents The 7 Rules of Networking Made Easy posted at Edith Yeung.Com: Dream. Think. Act.. Patti Blevins presents Working At Home Challenges You posted at pattiblevins.com, saying, "Discover How YOU Can Explode Your Home Based Business Opportunity And Work At Home" Alvaro Fernandez presents Lifelong Learning and New Neurons in Adults posted at SharpBrains, saying, "Be open to career change at any point in your life.
