Red Wine: It's not just for brains and heart (and fun); Research shows prostate benefits

Much has been written about the potential benefits of drinking red wine in moderation and of resveratrol and of certain flavonoids, substances found in red wine. Harvard Men's Health Watch just announced the following surprising results of a Seattle study:
Previous studies had not detected a relationship between overall consumption alcohol and risk of prostrate cancer. However the Seattle study evaluated different types of alcohol which lead to the unexpected findings. While doctors are hesitant to prescribe wine consumption to their patients it is nice to know that moderate drinking is associated with a lowered risk of prostate cancer as well as heart attack, stroke, and diabetes. external tags: Read Similar LifeTwo Stories:
