Husband going through a midlife crisis? 'Get a massage,' say those who've been through it

One of the most common suggestions on midlife crisis discussion forums for women whose husbands are experiencing a midlife crisis (or battling depression) is to book themselves a massage. A massage? The suggestions typically come from women whose spouses' psychological conditions had led to both personal stress on their part as well as reduced physical contact between them. Almost all of these women noted immediate benefits from getting a therapeutic massage. The Mayo Clinic agrees by noting that in addition to the obvious benefits of relaxation studies have shown that massage can benefit a person's self-esteem:
The Clinic also noted anxiety reduction and immune system improvements as additional benefits. Of course massage is not a panacea for midlife crisis or marital problems. Own opinion. It is easy to love someone during the good times. Hard spots in life challenge us to find and keep the love alive. Focus on the good things. Try to listen with the heart and don't be unwilling to listen to some of the options that he has. REsearch and read up on the topic. I bet there are many others who have been there and have some good advise on how to deal with this. Sounds like it is just a challenge that needs to be worked out through effective communication and understanding....a phase that will go away soon enough. Or give him a nice massage. Learn it on Massage School and it will help you a lot.

I agree that a massage will release the tension and will make us relaxed. Our minds and bodies will reach a certain point wherein, it will be at ease and stress-free.

I totally agree that massage
I totally agree that massage can do a lot to a person's life in to the individual's body. Men and those 65 and older (30 percent) are more likely to receive massage for medical/health reasons, women respondents reported that massage provided the greatest relief from pain, 26 percent of the respondents reported that they use massage for relaxation/stress reduction, Popular or not, massage has many benefits. Massage can help both physically and mentally.
