Answer to the question what (and why) LifeTwo?
Submitted by Wesley on February 15, 2007 - 1:03pm.
Dave School of male midlife crisis resource blog The Disquiet recently linked to us with the question "why do we blog?" along with a request to identify 5 blogs we would recommend. LifeTwo is all about providing relevant information for middle age. Anyone who uses the Internet knows that there is an infinite amount of information available on almost any topic--including middle age. This is great for anyone that has an infinite amount of time to find, filter, and process it. Since most people don't, especially free time challenged midlife adults, LifeTwo serves as a trusted source for this information. As for our list of five blogs to recommend, it's tough to pick just five since we regularly interact and link with a much larger number. But since Dave's request was to send 5 and not 50, here goes: The Boomer Chronicles has often humorous, always insightful observations about life as seen through the eyes of the baby boomer generation. The Boomer Chronicles along with LifeTwo founded the BloggingBoomers carnival. Jed Diamond's blog at Third Age is an incredible (and authoritative) source and one that we frequently reference. He's also the author of The Irritable Male Syndrome. Gretchin Rubin's Happiness Project not surprisingly is about "happiness." Since the pursuit of happiness is one of our inalienable rights, it makes sense that someone is researching exactly what this means. Nicolette Beard's Man-o-pause's tag line is "providing midlife men a place to breath." 'Nuff said. And finally Ironmitch. When I started closing in on middle age, I took up the sport of triathlon to reinvigorate a love of working out after growing bored of just running. What I learned was that triathlon was more than just a sport, it was a community, an attitude, a hobby, and above all it was life-changing. Mitch Thrower is a monster in the world of triathlon and captures the essence of triathlon in this blog. Read Similar LifeTwo Stories:
