BloggingBoomers Carnival #9 is right here!
Submitted by Wesley on February 9, 2007 - 11:54pm.
Many interesting stories in this week's BloggingBoomer's Carnival (#9). For those of you who don't know what or who the BloggingBoomers are, it is a group of like-minded blogs who share stories once a week making it easy for readers (i.e., you) to be exposed to articles and blogs that might be new to you. By the way, all the BloggingBoomers blogs support RSS, so if you like one of the blogs you find and want to effortlessly keep up with their posts, we suggest you "subscribe" to that blog. (Read this post for a detailed explanation or email us through the "contact us" at the bottom of this page if you need help). Now for the best Boomer stories on the web this week.... The fact that we boomers are all getting older is acknowledged over at Ann Harrison's Contemporary Retirement with a list of 60's hits which has been revised to accommodate our aging boomer sensibilities. While on the subject of music, Rhea at the Boomer Chronicles, speculates that if you were alive anywhere on the planet in the 1960s, then you'll remember the Singing Nun. What can you remember and can you name her #1 1964 hit? From music we go to fashion where Lloyd's Your Drum presents "A display of Boomer street fashion at the NY, Milan and Paris Fashion Shows" (with video). Everyone knows that fashion leds to sex. John Agno's SoBabyBoomer reports that aging Boomers are facing the 'use it or lose it' proposition when it comes to their sexual health. So they’re getting pumped up to re-invent their sexuality...and...Valentine's Day is the most important day of the year for Boomers to show their stuff. Speaking of Valentine's Day, Micki's Rearview Mirror has this for you if you haven't yet decided on a gift. Meanwhile at Nicolette's Man-o-pause we read about the baby boom's publishing boom in "More is More For the "We" Generation". Then Wendy's GenPlus looks at the new trend of campus living for the 50's and over set in "I always knew my Liberal Arts degree would come in handy...". And finally, BloggingBoomer guest Healthy BPM chimes in with the question "have you ever wondered how fit your ancestors were?" Check the link to find out. Oh yes, if you have time, we at LifeTwo would like to suggest that you make sure to read "Fifty is defintely not thirty". Read Similar LifeTwo Stories:
