To Do Before You Die: Eat Really Well (in a variety of ways)

Wesley's picture

Here's an idea for your "To Do Before I Die List," pick foods or types of food that you've never eaten and put the ones that sound interesting on your list. For example, until a few years ago I had never eaten Polish food in a Polish restaurant. One day wanted to try something new and a favorite type of food was discovered.

Even better, here's a way to break of the monotony of going out to the same restaurants. Make the point of going to one of each of the following types of restaurants listed below in the next 12 months. Post the list and cross them off as you go to them:

    Chinese
    French
    Italian
    Indian
    Japanese
    Moroccan
    Spanish
    Thai
    Turkish
    Indonesian
    Mexican
    American/Steak
    Natural Food/Vegetarian
    Greek
    German
    Polynesian
    Korean
    Polish
    Russian/Ukranian

    Bonus: Cuban
    Bonus: Ethiopian

I'm sure if you go through your local paper that there is at least one authentic restaurant featuring these foods. Cross out any that you absolutely don't like (but don't do that unless you are absolutely sure). Once your friends see what you are doing they'll probably want to join you at some of the more adventuresome places.
