A Summit for Boomers and Those Who Market to Them

Wesley's picture

What's next, you ask? Find out at the "What’s Next Boomer Business Summit" in Chicago, March 5-6, 2007.

Not everything in the world can be found by searching the Internet. Some things are best learned in person, especially by listening to thought leaders in an environment conducive to networking and deal making. Here are the details on this summit as provided to us:

The notion that successful companies of the future will be those that satisfy the needs and wants of America’s 78 million baby boomers has been hammered home by a slew of recent media reports - particularly after the first wave of boomers began turning 60 last year.

The fourth annual What’s Next Boomer Business Summit takes this message a step further. The two-day event provides key data that innovative companies, entrepreneurs and organizations can use to tap the lucrative boomer market, while also offering participants a unique opportunity to network with potential new customers and strategic partners and exchange ideas with venture capitalists and other thought leaders.

The two-day event takes place on March 5-6 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
The event is co-produced by the American Society on Aging’s Business Forum on Aging and Mary Furlong & Associates.

The conference showcases nationally recognized boomer market experts - including Emilio Pardo (Chief Brand Officer, AARP) and Jack Barrette (Category Development Officer, Lifestyle, Health and Medicine at Yahoo!), David Baxter (VP of Research, Age Wave) and Myrna Blyth (Author and Founder of MORE Magazine).

Other speakers include: Helen Dennis (Chairman, ASA’s Business Forum on Aging and a Specialist on Aging, Employment & Retirement), Steve French (Managing Partner, The Natural Marketing Institute), Mollie Katzen (Author of Eat, Drink, and Weigh Less and The Moosewood Cookbook), Bryan Preston (VP of Long Term Care, TLContact, Inc.), Jeff Stettin (VP of Integrated Solutions, Nick at Nite & TV Land), Sandra Timmermann (Director, MetLife Mature Market Institute) and Jeff Zimman (CEO, Posit Science Corporation).
