Higher folate intake may decrease the risk of Alzheimer's Disease

If you want to play it safe concerning Alzheimer's disease, you might want to take note of this study. In a report in the January issue of Archives of Neurology it was noted that higher folate intake was modestly correlated with lower homocysteine levels. This would indirectly suggest "that a lower homocysteine level is a potential mechanism for the association between higher folate intake and a lower Alzheimer's disease risk."
