Follow a midlife crisis as it unfolds

For those of you, especially women, interesting to read the semi-regular thoughts of a man in the midst of a full-blown male midlife crisis, you may want to read this blog, My Freakin Midlife Crisis. One of the complaints from wives about their husbands' midlife crisis is that the husband just clams up and doesn't share what he is thinking. Not so with the author of the above linked blog. He isn't talking to his wife but he is sharing all in his writings. It's not feel good reading but it may shed some light on what can happen in a man's mind as he "freaks out" (his words).

Note, however, that that author of that blog has largely given up on his marriage and he has an on and off long-distance Internet "relationship" with someone he has never met but calls the "love of his life". For most people it will be a little too close to watching an accident happening without any ability to stop it.

Please remember that this is just one person and you should not try and draw any conclusions about your own situation based on what this one individual is doing.

Update: He seems to have stopped blogging but his site is still up. I hope that he got the help that he so disparately needed.

infidelity in male midlife

Mu husband and I of 22 years have sex 9-13 times weekly- his time seems to be accounted for-Last year I started menopause myself and was in bad shape emotionally and though we remained intimate(not as much as now) I wonder if I pushed him away? What is usual one size fits all signs of cheating to look for? I suspect he may have cheated-Time seems to accounted for-but might be the possibility of workplace affair or one with a family member(in law) How can I know for sure,I've asked-but he said no- But would a cheater admit this? Lot of moodiness
