Lil, your observations are always insightful. You've touched on something that hasn't had much exposure, which is what happens after husband/wife's midlife crisis. It is impossible to simply forget what happened over what might have been a year or more of turmoil. What was said and done isn't automatically erased. You mention the immense guilt that your husband feels for what he put you both through and your anxiety. This is an entirely new dimension to the discussion and highlights that everything doesn't automatically return to "normal" the moment that the spouse "comes out of it." Wesley Hein »
